High School Curriculum

Our Philosophy

While attempting to teach students how to compete in our global economy, we are not teaching them how to cooperate. We are neglecting the foundation of education, the education of the heart. Think how different our schools, homes and society would be if every young person showed respect for others undergirded by a healthy self-respect. Negative statistics would go down and test scores would go up.

The attitude behind the action determines the outcome.

Leaders By Example

Leaders By Example

Leaders by Example® is an interactive, engaging series of workshops for high school students that challenges them to consider how their attitudes, actions, words and everyday decisions shape their future and the future of our society. We provide tools for application-level learning through communication, ethics and accountability training.

Upon completion of the year-long training, students are equipped to lead with integrity and forethought.

Leaders By Example® — BIG IDEAS
  • Every person has a purpose: learn to become the person you were meant to be.
  • Expect more of yourself than you do of others.
  • Do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.
  • You are not exempt from consequences when you break rules.
  • Mistakes don’t disappear quickly today; social media enables your mistakes to haunt you.
  • You don’t compete with others, you compete with yourself.
  • Choose to be the best rather than number one.
  • Time counts for something or nothing; it is your choice.
  • The mastery of a skill is not meant to shine a bright light on you, but to help light the way for someone else to master that skill.
